Oh no! The socially awkward ghost!
Ruining college for everyone!
College is a time in which you must combine both academic and social skills to produce an ideal environment for work and play. You can guess where social skills are needed there. Pro-tip, it is not for work.
However, depending on certain situations, we may either succeed or fail horribly and wish you weren't born so you wouldn't have to experience this moment. Not that I would know anything about that...for today, anyway.
One must be ready to fight that ghost, and talk it up!
"HOW CAN I DO THAT?" someone must be thinking, or maybe even yelled if they're so confused by it.
One should try to take a casual tone and conversation topics with people you are unfamiliar with, to gain some common ground and getting to know each other by name. Remembering names is really important. I'm not good with names, so my bad Susan (If your name IS Susan, you should feel all warm and fuzzy I remembered you name, Karol).
Try to see what events are going on around campus, and see if anyone you've developed conversations with will go with you! You can bond and all that good stuff with the lovely things Southern has set up for everyone.
Clubs are also good! Unless you're a baby seal.
They can help develop a group you see on a weekly basis, slowly warm up to each other, and share your common interest! The diversity of clubs can almost assure you that you're bound to find something that remotely interests you.
